A vibrant, loving woman, Elena immigrated to this country from Peru five years ago. Seeking marriage to her love and full filling her dreams was interrupted by medical notification that she had cancer in 2012. Fighting this aggressively all of 2012 her P.E.T. scan mid year showed the cancer beaten.......they thought.
The disease is back and has metastasized. Only this time, her and her husband are not in the same healthy financial shape as before. With the new healthcare law escalating costs of medical treatments they are getting behind and are facing reduced future medical treatments.
Which means certain early death for Elena. She has even stopped her classes for US citizenship because she does not know if she will survive long enough to be a citizen.
She is not one to ask for help, but her husband really would like his wife to have some years in front of her. So he is asking for help.
