My daughter Sarah was diagnosed with Stage 2B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer earlier this year and is being treated at St. Jude’s in Memphis, Tennessee.
Sarah is 16, almost 17, and loves music. She’s been studying voice the past few years and participating in shows at her voice studio and in school.
Sarah is one of the happiest kids I’ve ever known. She’s had family troubles and gotten through them, and pursued her music and done well in school - and now this. And she’s still smiling all the way.
Although St. Jude treats these kids for free, there are other expenses. Just gas, food, lodging and separate medications can add up over a year’s time. Her schooling is now done at home with a tutor.
