HERE IS OUR FULL REVIEW

Crowdtilt.com is a well designed crowdfunding, no wait, Group Funding website. Crowdtilt puts some emphasis on the difference between crowdfunding and group funding, here is the crowdtilt defination:

What is the difference between crowd-funding and group-funding?

Crowd-funding is meant for many people to fund an individual’s project or effort. (Many-to-one)

Group-funding is where a group funds an objective, that the entire group benefits from. (From the group for the group)

In other words, Crowdtilt is a great way for a group of people to raise money for their groups fundraising efforts, an effort that benefits the entire group. A great example they give on the site is the example of raising funds for a party or a vacation home that the group will share.

From Crowdtilt.com FAQ:
The majority of our campaigns are private (e.g. a group of friends organizing a vacation or party bus) so we don’t list all active campaigns or categorize them on our site.

In comparison to similar crowdfunding platforms (which advocate and feature your campaign to bring you the biggest exposure possible), Crowdtilt depends on each campaign admin to share their campaign with their personal and professional networks in order to reach their goal.

Crowdtilt relies on the group who created the campaign to promote the campaign, the majority of this promotion is done through Facebook, which is a requirement for participating in a crowdtilt campaign. They take the industry standard fees (around 5%) for having hosting your project on their heavily trafficked website.

If you and your friends or organization is looking to collect funds for an upcoming project, Crowdtilt is a site to consider.
They allow your group to keep things private if so desired, in many cases this is more suitable than posting a project publicly as are done on the majority of crowd funding sites.
This site would have been PERFECT for putting together a spring break trip back in the day!! Give you any ideas??

OUR FINAL CONCLUSION

Easy to Use, Well designed and Growing. Crowdtilt.com is a site that distinguishes itself in the field of CrowdFunding sites by focusing on Group Funding. Perfect for private group project and fundraising efforts.

The thing that’s different about CrowdTilt is it’s group funding and not crowd funding. Your campaign has to reach a certain level before you receive the funds. There’s good and bad to that. The good part is that it makes your group work harder to get your campaign noticed and to receive funds. The bad part is, if your campaign doesn’t tilt (or reach a certain level) – then no funds are dispensed. I think CrowdTilt may have problems competing with group funding sites that don’t have such restrictions.

I’m glad to see Crowdtilt making the distinction between crowd and group funding. It makes them standout from the rest.

Crowdtilt.com might be a newcomer to the game but they sure don’t fall behind the competition when it comes to features and the successful funding they are generating. The cool thing about crowdtilt is that they don’t cater to just one type of groups. There are groups that are looking to fund projects that have the potential to change people’s lives and there are groups looking fund anything that looks fun. Best of all they only charge 2.5% fee, which is like half of what most others charge.

I’ve used Crowdtilt twice now, and it’s been really cool to use crowdfunding for our group activities. There’s no risk in throwing up an idea and seeing if it ’tilts’ with your friends or group, and for what it’s worth, both campaigns of ours have gone way past their ’tilt’ amount/goal.

I used Crowdtilt to fund my friend’s bachelor party. With people in different states I was dreading collecting checks, but it was smooth sailing with crowdtilt, and we even got people in his social network to “buy him a drink” as I put it through crowdtilt, giving us some extra funds. the interface is very easy to use and uncluttered. I also recently used it to pay for a group hotel stay. their objective is very clear and they excel at it.

Crowdtilt.com does not have as many restrictions and funding rules as some other sites because of its focus on group funding among people who already know one another. It’s not for funding business ventures. Use it correctly and you’ll see that it’s perfect for those group centric use cases. Oh, and the low fee helps too.

Crowdtilt has made it pretty effortless to try to fund just about anything with your group. I have already used it to buy a dryer with my roommates, pay for my buddy’s bachelor party, and help stick it to the MAN via donating to https://www.crowdtilt.com/campaigns/dont-mess-with-the-internet-billboard-in-lamar-smiths-home-district
The campaign creation page takes less than a minute to complete which is nice for just throwing something out there and gauging interest among friends.

I love Crowdtilt! Setting up a campaign is easy – and then it’s awesome watching the progress bar advance across the screen as more and more people contribute to your campaign. Making it tilt is a group effort that everyone’s even more devoted to as your campaign gets closer to its goal. That’s the thing about Crowdtilt that makes it super-effective – harnessing and making transparent that collective investment, more than in the sense of dollars, but also in the sense of care and effort.

I LOVE Crowdtilt because it helps me do things my friends, which is definitely different from all of the other platforms out there. I used it to organize a graduation party and pooled money for (delicious) pizzas and plenty (!) of drinks. Usually, I would have to worry whether people would reimburse me for those things, and if someone didn’t bring money I would end up paying a bigger share then anybody else. Since I hate chasing after people for money they owe me, pooling the money spontaneously with Crowdtilt a couple of days before was really cool. I didn’t have to worry about that at all. We had plenty of food and drinks and overall it was a great success! Their customer support was also really friendly and they wrote me a few times to see how everything was going and see if I needed any help.

I found your post comments while searching Google. It is very relevant information. Great work. Regularly I do not make posts on blogs, but I have to say that this posting really forced me to do so. Really awesome post. Really fantastic and I will be coming back for more information at your site and revisit it!
