My name is Jason Content, I am twenty six years old and I attend Hillsong International Leadership College, studying to be a pastor. I have worked so hard to make it here and have been through so much to just even get here. I gave up a well paid career in IT that was paying me around £35,000 a year to follow my calling and my dream that is to be a pastor and to help change the world, we live in for the better. Last semester I passed all my assessments and I am on track to pass this year academically.
I have spent my whole life being told I cant do something, I cant achieve my dreams. I have grown up in a generation of people that have said get a job and stay behind a desk it will be safe for you. I want to prove to the generations that come and the generations that have been, that people can achieve their dreams that they can achieve what they have been put on this earth to do.
Unfortunately, I am unable to fund my self anymore and I have run out of Money. My Parents have been a great support to me and have helped me out as much as they possibly can. I have spent hours upon hours searching for work and walking from shop to shop, restaurant to restaurant handing out resumes. I get given a job and two weeks later they say we cant afford to keep you any longer. Im now at a point where I need to pay fees by the 8th of July to stay in college and to continue my studies. If I don't pay these fees by then, I will have to go home and all my hard work over these last six months will be for nothing.
It is not like me to write one of these pages and plead for money but this is a dream of mine and I will do anything to see it pass. Soo please, if you can donate anything to this cause it would be so fantastic and such a blessing.
I need to raise $4560, thats £2213 to be able to pay for next semesters fees, and some money to get buy on. Please see this as an investment because investing in me will enable me to invest into others. It will enable me to pursue my dream of making this world a better place and bringing peace and love across the world.
