My name is Michael Laskey, I am a 45 yr old father of three wonderful children. I was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer on Feb 22nd, 2015. Since my diagnosis I have had to leave my place of employment on disability due to conditions related to my cancer diagnosis as well as frequent breathing difficulties related to Bronchitis.
While I do have adequate health insurance that covers most of my medical treatments and prescription medications, I find the bills piling up, going unpaid due to my lack of income from being out on disibility. I have a pending Social Security Disability claim but at this point I have no clue if it will be approved, Or when it will start paying benefits. As a result I'm looking at $1500,00 a month in bills that I'm unable to pay and will eventually lead myself and my 3 children to homelessness. I am looking for help to pay my household bills for possibly the next two months, While I wait for a decision from Social Security Disability.
