One of the most difficult things for an individual to do is ask for help. Unfortunately there are situations that arise in our lives that can not be overcome without the help of family and friends. Crowdfunding has made it possible to ask for the help we need for medical bills , Victims of violent crimes and other expenses that come from unforeseen events.
You will be amazed at how willing the people in your life are when asked to come to your aid. As we have followed the crowdfunding industry over the last 2 years, we are encouraged by the good people do on a daily basis. Websites like GoFundMe and others that we review on this website have opened our eyes to the good nature of people around the world.
Below are a few campaigns that we have followed and helped to promote over the past few months. The stories are those of hard working individuals who through no fault of their own have fallen on tough times. The outpouring of support from their friends and family, not to mention complete strangers encourages us to continue promoting crowdfunding for donations. While we are very interested in Equity Crowdfunding and certainly support crowdfunding for Art and Film, these medical need campaigns are the best examples of how the crowdfunding industry can impact an individual.
We are firm believers in the Democratization of Finance through Crowdfunding and that crowd funding will change Wall Street forever but these projects are the small ones that often go unnoticed by main stream media, even though they have an incredible impact on the individuals who have reached out for the help of family and friends.
